Application System Update We’ve improved the application review process by adding custom denial reasons. Staff members are now required to provide a reason when denying an application. The applicant will automatically receive a direct message containing the denial reason, providing clear feedback on why their application was not accepted. This update helps improve communication between staff and applicants while making the review process more transparent.
Application System Update – Custom Denial Reasons
We’ve released a significant improvement to the Alpha Bot Application System to make the review process more professional and informative for both staff and applicants.
What’s New
When a staff member clicks Deny on an application, Alpha Bot will now open a required Denial Reason form instead of immediately denying the application.
Once the reason is submitted, Alpha Bot will automatically:
* Require staff to enter a denial reason before an application can be denied.
* Save the denial reason to the application database for future reference.
* Send the applicant a direct message informing them that their application has been denied.
* Include the custom denial reason in the DM so applicants know exactly why their application was not accepted.
* Update the staff review message to display the denial reason.
* Remove the application’s pending role when applicable.
* Disable the review buttons after the application has been processed to prevent duplicate actions.
This update provides a much better experience for applicants by giving them meaningful feedback instead of simply receiving a generic denial message. It also gives staff a documented record of why each application was denied, helping maintain consistency across the review process.
