Application System Update – Role Requirements for Applications We've expanded the Alpha Bot Application System with a powerful new permissions feature that gives communities more control over who can apply for each application type. What's New Each application type can now be configured with its own Required Roles and Blocked Roles directly from the dashboard. Required Roles Restrict applications to members who have one or more specific Discord roles. If no required roles are configured, anyone can apply. Blocked Roles Prevent members with selected roles from submitting an application. Great for preventing existing staff, command members, or other groups from reapplying. Examples Staff Application Required Role: Verified Member Blocked Role: Staff FTO Application Required Role: State Trooper Blocked Role: FTO Promotion Application Required Role: Officer Blocked Role: Command Staff When a member attempts to apply, Alpha Bot automatically verifies these requirements before allowing the application to begin. Members who don't meet the configured requirements receive a clear message explaining they are not eligible to apply. This update provides communities with greater flexibility, reduces unnecessary applications, and helps ensure that only eligible members can apply for specific positions—all while being fully configurable through the dashboard.
